School Summary
Bowman Middle School is one of the weaker performing middle schools in PISD, but it has seen some signs of improvement over the last fours. In that span of time, the percentage of STAAR test scores at Bowman that met state standards improved as follows—2015-16: 37%; 2016-17: 37%; 2017-18: 43%; 2018-19: 50%. In the 2018-’19 school year at Bowman, 21% of STAAR scores did not approach state standard, 50% failed to meet state standard, and 23% greatly exceeded the grade-level expectations for Texas public schools.
