David Beitchman
David is a life-long educator and has experience teaching, writing curriculum, training student-teachers, and working as a house parent for economically disadvantaged children. He graduated from Harvard (‘99) and holds a Masters in Education with a specialty in Teaching and Learning. David and his wife, Shannon, moved to Plano in 2016 with their two young boys.
While researching where to live in the DFW area, David and Shannon focused their attention on Plano because of its strong schools and its proximity to Dallas. They did their best to research specific elementary schools within Plano to better target where they would like to live. As they researched schools, they looked at student performance, teacher tenure, PTA websites, housing prices, and more. When they had narrowed their search to a select few schools, they wished there was someone in Plano who could give them insight into each school’s culture and reputation.
David began teaching in Plano ISD in 2016 and has taught both Special Education and PACE (Plano’s Gifted and Talented program). He has taught in two different Plano ISD middle schools and his two boys attend their local Plano ISD elementary school. Along the way, David has learned about early Plano’s early childhood learning centers, school transfer policies, special ISD schools and programs, and a lot of other useful information. David created this website to help you search for Plano ISD schools more effectively and efficiently. Shannon grew up in Marin County, California and received her B.A. from Georgetown University. She began her real estate career in international sales in the Caribbean, and has helped buy and sell numerous homes throughout the DFW. Jodi was raised in the Midwest and obtained her M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Having personally navigated 6 relocations and a new home build, Jodi understands all aspects of the relocation process and is dedicated to creating a positive experience for her clients.
