School Summary
Memorial Elementary was one of only 5 PISD schools to earn a grade under ‘C’ from Plano School Reviews in 2018-’19. Over 3 in 10 (31%) STAAR scores did not approach the state standard, over 6 in 10 (62%) failed to meet that standard, and just 16% demonstrated mastery of grade-level content. These numbers all constituted improvements from 2017-18, however, when Memorial’s STAAR scores saw 36% failing to approach state standards, 70% not meeting the state standard, and just 11% reflecting mastery of grade-level content. Memorial feeds into Bowman Middle School, Williams High, and Plano East Senior High. Memorial has one of the highest rates of economically disadvantaged students at 82.7%.
