School Summary
Plano Senior is the oldest of Plano’s Senior High Schools (grades 11-12) and, like the other two senior high schools in Plano, feels like a small college campus with a wide variety of classes, electives, and extra-curriculars. While its academic reputation is not quite as strong as it was in years past, Plano Senior remains a solidly performing senior high school. For each of the last four years, Plano Senior High has seen a drop in the percentage of its STAAR test scores that approach state standards: 93% (2015-16); 91% (2016-17); 87% (2017-18); 85% (2018-19). Plano Senior has remained strong with the percentage of STAAR scores meeting the state standard (72%) and with scores demonstrating mastery of grade-level content (51%). Vines and Clark are the feeder schools for Plano Senior, which has an average grade size of nearly 1,400 students.
