Rice Middle School is not only the top performing middle school in Plano, but it is one of the strongest academic public schools in the state of Texas. Rice has earned an ‘A+’ from Plano School Reviews for 4 years in a row. The culture at Rice is highly competitive, and Rice families are committed to their children’s education. Students are expected give their best effort, and the STAAR scores above reflect this standard of academic excellence. Both the % of economically disadvantaged students and mobility rate are incredibly low, and just 3% of all STAAR scores at Rice do not approach state standards. Even more impressively, over two-thirds (68%) of STAAR scores demonstrating mastery of grade-level content.
