School Summary
Located southeast of Plano in Richardson, TX, Schell is one of Plano ISD’s largest elementary schools with an average of over 110 students in each grade. For the past four years, Schell has earned grades of ‘B+’ three times and ‘A-’ once from Plano School Reviews. In 2018-19, Schell STAAR test scores were roughly on par with PISD averages—8 of 9 scores (88%) approached state standards, just over 1 in 3 scores (36%) failed to meet those standards, and 43% greatly exceeded the state’s grade level expectations. Schell joins two other elementary schools—Stinson and Mendenhall—in feeding into Otto Middle School. After Otto, Schell graduates move on to Williams High and Plano East Senior High.
