Thomas Elementary saw a steep drop in STAAR scores meeting the state standard, dropping from 41% in 2017-18 to a paltry 33% in 2018-19. Thomas, along with three of the other 44 PISD elementary schools, has the lowest Plano School Reviews score in 2018-19 at ‘D+’. Only 15% of STAAR scores at Thomas demonstrated true mastery of grade-level content, and just over 3 of 10 scores (31%) failed to even approach the state standards.
